Benevolent blends

I got an advertisement from the Monks of Our Lady of Spring Bank in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. These Monks have become well known in the last few years for their LaserMonks business that is a good supplier of inks and toners at great prices. A friend of mine tipped me off to them several years ago and I’ve purchased both laser toner and ink from them. Now, they’ve started a new business, Benevolent Blends which is marketing coffee. I hope they do well in their new business.

There is a carmelite monastery in Wyoming doing something similar. Check it out:

By the way I’ve added Mystic Monk Coffee to my blogroll. I hope the Carmelites get some business. I’m a supporter of the Monk at Genesee Abbey in Piffard, New York. I love their bread. I eat peanut butter and jelly and/or honey and peanut butter sandwiches made with Monks bread nearly every day.

I tried both coffees and while the Mystic Monk website is very cute, Benevolent Blends is vastly superior coffee and definitely gourmet.

Plus if Benevolentblends is following in the footsteps of it’s parent site, LaserMonks, it donates all the proceeds to good works and it even told me when I made my purchase which charity part of my order proceeds was going to.

Just went back to the site and I see they now sell fair trade chocolates, gourmet hot chocolate and espresso beans.

Can’t wait to see what these monks come up with next.
